Another year, another season gone by! Alton Towers Theme Park has now closed its doors until 2009.
Scarefest came to an end on Sunday, after just over 2 weeks at the resort! Make sure you stick with Alton Towers Blog here on Theme Park Life as we will be giving our full review of the major Scarefest attractions within the next 7 days! We’re also interested in hearing what you thought about the event - please send us your comments!
With 2009 seeing the removal of Corkscrew and Bouncing Bugs, a new childrens’ themed area, a new aquarium in Mutiny Bay, an Ug Swinger makeover, new Skyride gondolas and pizza and pasta outlets, you can be assured that the coming close season will be a busy one and Alton Towers Blog will be here to keep you updated!
Don’t forget that Sunday is Corkscrew’s farewell event. Guests wishing to have a final ride on the biggest Alton Towers attractions, including Nemesis, Rita - Queen of Speed, Air and Oblivion can do so on 9th November between 10.00am and 4.00pm as part of the goodbye event for the iconic Corkscrew rollercoaster, which will run for the final time after over 28 years of operation. Hotel Guests and Annual Pass Holders are also able to access the theme park on Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th November from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Just because it’s closed season doesn’t mean there won’t be anything to report here on Alton Towers Blog! We will be reporting all of the above along with some feature articles and competitions!
